About

Tony Dowers  Founder/Sole Proprietor

I founded Magneto Design in 1998 after graduating from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) and working in the design field for a number of years.

While my detail-obsessed side provides user-friendly information design with an emphasis on clean typography, my alter-ego "Flash" pursues a keen interest in vintage illustration and obsolete machinery. Between those extremes, I enjoy collaborating with a client or team to create brand and marketing materials, scaling resources up or down as needed to match any given task.

Mag-Neto Magazine is my side project. Cranked out from an old firehouse near Boston, MA, Mag-Neto combines many of my favorite things — design, photography, story-telling and retro hot rods. If you like vintage Hot Rod and Hop Up mags of the ’40s and ’50s, you’ll love Mag-Neto!
